My,what delicious looking oil paint.

Spring semester has been pretty chill when I'm not swamping myself in more than 3 classes. Oil painting and English 1 are the only ones I have this time. Falling in love with oils so much I literally want to eat my paint. I wish I was kidding, slightly ashamed, but the way the colors mesh is so pretty I actually drool when I mix them. These are just some progress pics of what I've been doing for 2 weeks now. It looks awful right now but in the end I know it will be great. Just like learning to digital paint but there isn't a control z.

THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN! So I'm cheep and broke but wanted to try the shrinkydinks tutorial my friend Kat sent me. Again I am cheep and broke so I looked for a different way. I found this tutorial on how to do it with #6 plastic containers. It totally worked! I read through a few posts on tumblr for quick tips. Sanding the plastic makes the colors stick better, especially colored pencil and non-permanent markers. Making clear ones is cool too but somehow the #6 plastic didn't like being circle so I cut them to more diverse shapes and they didn't stretch out. ANOTHER QUICK TIP flatten them out RIGHT AFTER they're out of the oven or they wont budge ever again. Use a hole punch BEFORE you cook them obviously cause then you'll have to drill holes in them. Not sure we all have that on hand,I didn't.

NEW INSERT PAGES FOR GARDENIA! um yea, I've been busy with a volunteer freelance thing lately (Tomo Neko) so I haven't been making pages for Gardenia for a bit. Got some kind of free time last week cause of spring break and bus travel to this work source place. Things like this make me realized I should write the script entirely before I draw the comic. This is an insert page that makes the story flow better.

More pages coming once the freelance gig is done,April 28. If you live in LA you should hit us up. It's a charity Maid and Butler cosplay cafe. You get soooOoOOoO much food and desert and get to interact with us cosplayers. I'll be FP of course so if you want to request me you should pre-order the tix here. They're just $15 and it's in Little Tokyo. And what did I do with these rad anime loving charitable peeps? Why I am a layout artist for advertisements and plugged in some stuff on the site. This year we're raising money for the Trevor Project. I'm totally for that cause you know I support love equality. (Being pansexual and all.) Event blog and photos in 2 weeks!

These are from 3 weeks ago at least. More jobsearch doodles. The 4 characters here are for a time travel AU pirate animation I've been working on since 2006. I think I got what I want after all these years.

This is what brainfarts get you. Weird talking animals.
Went to see a close friend//big bro who's been outa state for quite a while. I thought it was just gonna be a few people hanging out but turned into a 10 person party where we had pizza and games. Super fun to hang out with people I haven't seen in 3 years! I drew this while talking to Herb about furry stuff.

Typography is one of the many things that de-stress me. Long story short about this, convo with fine art friend on the way back home from a open interview lead me to make this and thus turn it into a shirt on kittenbutts redbubble. If that sells at least 10 I swear I'll be more brash from now on,hahah.
