Lesbian love stories and cafe doodles

Gardenia is up on smackjeeves right now for your reading pleasure.

I have lots to say about this now that I've finally let my opinions out in comic form. For a while I haven't said much about this story except that I'm making it. I posted this image on facebook and of course the first ones to comment were guys saying "hot". I'm not mad at all,it's really funny and it got the reaction I thought it would. I am pretty secretive about my writing to the point of people not even knowing that I write!

I wrote Gardenia as a short story for a class I had based off of a random character doodle I made for yet another class. Other little things have been added since to fill out the story, like obviously real life happenings. To me Gardenia is a simple love story mixed with the kind of things I like to watch like mystery and myths.

For a week now it's slowly hitting me that I'm nervous as hell to show it. It's not because of art quality or even writing style. I know I've built up my structure for years and will always be working towards improving. I'm nervous to post it because of how we all read stories. One side is knowing that they're your interpretations and not necessarily what the author meant to say. And the other side is how in writing classes when teachers ask students to analyze what the author was saying. What makes it scary is that I never expected to be the judged. But here I am! With that I hope you all like it, anyone likes it.

Speaking of making art and not having a job here is me as a waifu making garlic toast for my hubs with the job. Did I mention he is perfect? What do I do all day? I draw comics, job search and apply to studios, freelance and retail jobs as much as I can, clean our space in the apartment, laundry cooking ect. Basically an arty house wife. I try to make the best of this unemployment tho I really REALLY want a barista job. OH GODS PLEASE UNIVERSE! A perfect little life for me would to work as a barista and make comics and make money on both. I love coffee too much.
How I get laundry done.LIKE A BOSS
Here are a few thing I've drawn while out at the local cafe. 1) a preliminary idea for Taco Night designs 2)Nikki Minaj inspired business lady drawn while at Crave with Ardi 3) Observational Drawing of Crave Cafe people.

To close this long post I give you 2 illustrations I made for Sketchbook Wars weekly challenges.

Salome the Elegant Steampunk Zombie Girl. If you have read Salome the play by Oscar Wild you know the end scene. This is my spin on it.

This is Oxossi the hunter from the Yoruba religion. I learned about this dude in Brazillian dance class and pretty much fell in love! The steps for this dance consist of hunting, shooting arrows, stalking prey and putting on armor.
