Hello Autumn, Baby!

October and November are my favorite months of the year because of cooler weather,Halloween and Thanksgiving. At least I get Halloween and Thanksgiving since LA is still in the 100f heat! As always I've been busy since the last adventure of the Brazilian day fair. Mostly school,scene rehearsal for acting 2 and practice in Afro-Brazilian dance class. 

Jonah Elliot is still closed due to family illness but I will be opening this month as a custom order ONLY and print shop. Etsy doesn't seem like it's for me anymore perhaps. All I see in the teams/site beside my main Pink Ponies team is posts about jewelry,mommy junk and baby clothes. I'm not that type of person. I like cats,neon colored fashion and comics about sarcastic people in love. The one great thing I got from being on Etsy is meeting Pink Ponies girls and getting to go to events in the non-digital world. I love meeting other geeky art people! 

For example I went to volunteer at Craft and Folk Art Museum for my first time and got to help out KC Sears for her Punched Paper craft night. 

I made this cat face using her live tutorial. 

I was a bit early so I relaxed in a near by Starbucks to draw. I just didn't have any ideas at the moment so I made my own version of the mermaid. She's got a third eye and nipples. 

I use the sketchbook I made at that Etsy Annual Craft Night all the time to draw all sorts of things like this... We all know I love my hair. Did a sketch and just colored in photoshop.

Started drawing some original characters from Ashes & Coffee Stains comic I put off since 2010. I've really got to start again and just keep going at least 1 page a week or every 2 weeks. I'm going to clean them up with pen and ink then color them on photoshop. That will give it more texture that it's been missing. there has even been some character changes in looks and style. 

This is from a short story I wrote for a creative writing class back in art school. It's about 2 girls in love in 1946. Haven't picked a place yet but I know it's in a graveyard/mausoleum. The rest is a secret because thats more fun! L to R Agnes & Rachel.
