Adventure Time prints & Story talk

This is probably the first set of any art I have done. I want to make 3 lovey illustration of Adventure Time characters couples tho I'm having a hard time drawing PB. And for that matter PB with Marci, a popular, now apparently cannon couple. I just don't care for PB because she is so rude! But I like her design so I may just deal with her character rubbing me the wrong way because of that lol.

Now about the illustrations!

Fire Kingdom Ball: If you seen the sketch then you can see I really changed the poses and the clothing. I thought how can I make them believably touch? Why Flambo's spit spell of course! Then to keep the poses general the same as the sketch I made them about to dance or pose for a photo. As you can tell I always have to design new clothing for every character. I can't be held to the original show designs! Basically I'm saying if you want me to make cosplay for you go make a custom order on my etsy Jonah Elliot

All tied up: Again another one a little different from the original sketch. I tried to make a bg for this but it just didn't work with the limited space I gave myself. I never think I draw Jake perfect but I don't draw cartoon dogs much. Instead of having him all inside Lady's coil I had is little legs stick out. They are my favorite couple in the show and one of the few relationships I've seen animated or live action that doesn't focus on drama of cheating,lying ect.

It's really not as common as everyone thinks/how shows portray it. Cheating,abuse and the like do happen of course. I've lived enough of that example. Some of my own characters go through such dramas in story arch but it's not something that will get to overshadow the character as a person. It's not very entertaining for me to see characters in agony about emotional abuse like that. It feels like some people in real life emulate it to feel important or have a common tie to what society deems a norm. My view on this is limited tho since most of the people I've seen act that way are on the far side of sane/calm lol.

In other news! I just bought my first ad spot on a blog I like. It's Extra Large as Life about her OOTD's and other curvy fashion info. The add is 125X125 in the right side bar. It's a branch out of the mainly self promotion on twitter,google+ and facebook. This is just not my strength;advertising.

For the next blog I'll be featuring 2 artist friends of mine with cool projects going on! Just have to remember to upload the photos from my camera soon from the party last Saturday. I'll also be making a how to measure yourself for custom orders. I didn't realize before that just having text instructions was a bit limiting and might be confusing to people who don't sew or stuff.
